Copenhagen Trip

Saturday 15th Sept:

Shiyao came to stay over yesterday... walked to pick him up after walking around Deer Park... leg really quite cui sia... haha... anyway we decided to visit Copenhagen tomorrow... :)

Started off Early... It's gonna be a long day we forsee... and we are hoping for good weather.. haha... Copenhagen's weather... is irritating at time.. =X

Took train to the area... then we saw this Carlsberg thingy and we decided to go and ask... the guy told us we have to walk one whole big round to get to the visitor center..(this is the actual brewery...) Ultra sianz... coupled with the strong winds... it's getting really chilly!!!!

However the way to the visitor has quite a few pictures to take actually... apparently the whole street is named after Carlsberg...(Carls is the founder's son name and Berg is just a place in Denmark) Well they are quite rich in Denmark... so as we walk the streets..(named Gamme Carlsberg and Ny Carlsberg... meaning old and new carlsberg) we saw alot of statues, carvings and even a gate called the elephant gate... haha quite magnificent actually... for a normal street to be like dat...



After finally reaching the entrance...(after braving the strong winds...) we went in to register for the tour... it was basically an exhibition on Carlsberg beer.. their history.. how the beer was made... and also they have this bottle collection where they have a guiness world record of having the most beer bottle collection... LOL... the collection is quite extensive... and apparently they imported their beer to China as early as 1800s!! lol... Guess it might really be probably the best beer in the World eh?



Well apparently.. according to their history.. there's 2 type of Carlsberg bear... the Ny and the Gamme...(new and old) But the merge after the father died... =X

Also.. there's alot of different edition of beer bottles and beer... including all the special beer... it's definitely an eye opener for someone like me, who dun drink much...

Well, the tour ended with 2 free beer... ehe... one normal beer and one special brew... the special brew is 6% alcohol for the one i chose... Brown Ale... quite strong... since Vodka is only 7.5% and i usually dilute it before drinking.. haha... my face turned red after i drank.. but the Special Brew is really nice!!! haha... the normal brew was not bad too! alot better than those back in Singapore... haha =X



After Carlsberg tour... we continued on to Copenhagen City tour... well.. the wind is extremely strong today... and the beer certainly did help at 1st... but after the effect wears off......... bbrrrrrr... it's cold... haha!

Walked quite alot today... From the Carlsberg place we walked to Copenhagen, near Tivoli Gardens there... Tivoli Gardens is an Amusement park... quite a few rides which seems good... but entrance and rides are not cheap though.. :(

There we visited quite a few places like Amalienborg, Rosenborg, Christianborg, Little Mermaid, The Marble(3rd largest dome shape cathedral in Europe), The Harbour, and also a fortress by near little mermaid...

Copenhagen City tour was quite different from the last time i came... since i did a canal tour that time.. this time is more tiring since we walked the whole journey... and the wind.. is disgustingly strong... i even lost my balance while taking photographs!!! -.-



Shiyao took a few Paranormal Pictures and it's nice!! i tried to do that... but it turn out disastrously ugly.. guess i have a long way to go.. :(

Well.. after walking for sometime... we decided to just eat dinner and rot till 11.45 pm so can watch fireworks..(there's fireworks on every sat nite at Tivoli Gardens.. :))

Dinner... Pizza again... lol, buffet this time though..=X

After the dinner.. meet up with CL and WX to watch the fireworks.. it was... ok... haha.. not as good as i expect... but well.. better than nothing la... =X



Sunday 15th sept:

Have meeting today.. so didn't join Shiyao for his trip to Helsingor today... well no choice... sianz...

here's some photos from the preparation of the dinner... quite sumptuous dinner actually.. used 1 packet of my sweet and sour sauce!! haha.. Shiyao should be honored sia.. =X




Overall... 2nd visit to Copenhagen.. Different feeling... manage to tour more... haha... now looking forward to my other travels... haha! but 1st... have to continue with my project 1st... sigh... :(
